What is THINK?
THINK is a four module experience for small groups or individuals that Gateway is piloting in 2008. Each module lasts six or eight weeks, depending upon the module, and is designed to encourage Christian thinking under one of four main headings: Belief, God, Humanity, and the World.

If my small group signs up together, will we have time during THINK to interact as a group?
While the THINK experience will feel more like a class than a small group curriculum (like MORPH), there will be significant portions of the class time set aside for structured group discussion. Your group will be encouraged to stay together during this time and even tailor the discussion specifically to your own group's experience.

Is THINK for new or seasoned Christ-followers?
Yes. THINK is for new or seasoned Christ-followers. Gateway has intentionally positioned THINK in the 'Develop' season of spiritual formation, because THINK addresses essential thinking for a lifetime of delving into the depths of Scripture and theology. With that said the most critical factor for a rich experience with THINK is less about spiritual maturity and more about hunger to grow.

Do participants have to do all four modules? Do they have to do them in a particular order?
Participants sign up for one module at a time. If the first 6-week module was not a good fit, participants can opt out entirely. While participants are encouraged to go through the THINK and MORPH modules back-to-back, this is not required and participants can easily take "off time" between modules. Regarding order, there is a suggested order, but it does not need to be followed. The only order that needs to be followed is to do the Think...about belief module first. The suggested order is...

  1. THINK... about belief
  2. THINK... about God
  3. THINK... about Humanity
  4. THINK... about the world

What's the time commitment?
Classes will meet one night per week for 2 hours over a 6-week period. In between the weekly meetings, participants will be encouraged to spend 1-2 hours thinking about penetrating questions and exercises that will be drawn out through the course of the class. As an aid in this individual study, participants will have access to many relevant resources to take home during the week, including... PDFs of articles, books from the THINK library, and links to online resources.

What is the cost?
THINK is $25 per individual to cover the cost of materials and for other costs associated with hosting and developing THINK. Scholarships are available. Childcare is available for an additional fee.

Do you provide childcare?
Typically, childcare will be offered for all THINK courses for children 0 - 10 years. Check the registration website for updated availability. The cost is $7.50 per night for one child and $15 per night for two or more children. You may select the nights you need childcare. Scholarships are available. You must sign up for childcare when you register.
