What is Morph?
Morph is a four module small group experience. Each module lasts eight weeks, and each module goes more deeply into one area of what we refer to as the way of Christ. The way of Christ, as described at Gateway, is Love God, Build Character, Love People, Be Christ's Body. Gateway is currently rolling-out the modules over this year and next. In time, all four will be available.

Is this only for small groups and not for individuals?
Yes, due to Morph’s design, it really can’t be done individually, but it can be done in either small groups or running partners.  In short, if you’re not in a small group, or your small group is not interested in going through morph right now, simply find two people and go through the module together.  It need not be a formalized group.

Is Morph for new or seasoned Christ-followers?
Yes. Morph is for new or seasoned Christ-followers. Gateway has intentionally positioned MORPH in the 'Develop' season of spiritual formation, because MORPH addresses essentials for a lifetime of walking with Christ. With that said, the most critical factor for a rich experience with MORH is a person's hunger to grow. Those genuinely hungry for a deeper and more authentic walk with Christ are good and healthy fit for MORPH.

Do groups have to do all four modules? Do they have to do them in a particular order?
Groups need to sign-up for one module at a time. Gateway is now offering both the Love God module and the Build Character module.  The Love God module should be taken before the Build Character module. The remaining two modules will roll-out over this year and next and can be done in any order, so long as the Love God module is completed first. They will roll-out in the following order:

   1. Love God
   2. Build Character
   3. Love People
   4. Be Christ's Body

What's the time commitment?
Participants will be given a notebook with each module. Each week's material is designed to be completed by individuals in about an hour to an hour and a half. Periodically, there will be weeks that will take more than this but not typically. Beyond the individual prep time, there is a monthly gathering of all the participating groups (typically hosted at Gateway), and the normal small group rhythm.

What is the suggested Small Group rhythm, weekly or bi-monthly?
Small groups are strongly encouraged to meet once every week during the 8-week Morph module.  If your group is a triad group, your group of three should meet together every week.  If your group is larger than three people, your small group as a whole is encouraged to meet every other week, and Running partners within the small group are encouraged to meet every other week.  In other words, beyond the monthly large group gathering, there should be one gathering each week, either the small group or Running Partners.

What are Running Partners and how do they work with Morph?
Running Partners at Gateway have typically been considered one on one friendships where you encourage each other spiritually as would physical running partners encourage each other in their running. With Morph, we're suggesting Triad Running Partners (groups of three) that form out of the small groups. In other words, on the week opposite the group, you're asked to meet with two others from the group. This is new for most groups, so if you're group does not currently have Running Partners, don't let that inhibit your participation, because you're in the majority. Groups are encouraged to not make these Running Partner relationships permanent. Rather, they are encouraged, where possible, to switch them up from time to time (possibly for each module).

What is the cost?
Morph is $25 per individual to cover the cost of materials and for other costs associated with hosting and developing Morph. Scholarships are available.

Do you provide childcare for large group gatherings?
This will vary based on the offering. When possible, childcare will be offered for large group gatherings for children 0-10 years. Check the registration website for updated availability. The cost is $7.50 per night for one child and $15 per night for two or more children. You may select the nights you need childcare. Scholarships are available. You must sign up for childcare when you register.
